NSIS error on Windows 8 machine with Osmos download

Hello,

I've just downloaded the Osmos game onto my Windows 8 computer and when I try to launch the installer I get an NSIS error which reads as follows:

"Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy".

What do I need to do to install the Osmos game on my Windows 8 computer? I tried a second time to download a new copy and attempt to run the installer and get the same error again as well.

Hi trekr5,

Sounds like an incomplete download. Can you please clear your browser cache and attempt the download again?

If that fails, please try downloading the game using a different browser.

I've tried numerous browsers (firefox and Chrome) and I still get the same error.

Has this game been tested on Windows 8 at all? If so then why am I experiencing all these problems? Has anyone else come across this?

It has indeed.

I've not heard of this issue before, but a quick Google'ing of your error text suggests either 1) an incomplete download; or 2) over-zealous anti-virus software that's preventing you from downloading .exe files (see e.g. http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error).

This is very frustrating and I'm not getting anywhere.

I've tried downloading the Osmos file and it always seems to never get to 19MB before it stops.

Is there another link that I can download the Windows version from?

Failing this, can I have a refund please? It's a pity because I would have loved to have this game on my computer. But I can't have it if it won't work!
